Inpatient Rehab
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Silver Cross Hospital is a place where patients suffering from disabling conditions such as stroke, heart attack, joint replacement surgery or amputation can rediscover their independence to lead a productive life. Rehabilitation can also help people dealing with chronic conditions such as lung disease, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson\'s disease and muscular dystrophy.
Our goal is to help patients get back to life as quickly as possible. Silver Cross Hospital\'s dedicated team of rehabilitation specialists, under the direction of a full-time medical director, work closely with each patient to help them regain all they can to resume functional living. Each patient participates in an intensive, individualized treatment plan in a beautiful, home-like setting to meet the goals set by the patient, family and therapy team. We also encourage participation from family and friends in the treatment process, which includes goal setting, therapy and education.
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is beautifully decorated in a home-like setting. We strive to recreate all aspects of daily living while promoting a safe and independent lifestyle. Patients benefit from a fully equipped kitchen, bathing room, spacious bedrooms, and a living room. The unit even has a laundry area where patients relearn how to use a washer and a dryer.
